Unfortunaltely viruses are part and parcel of modern computing. If you use the internet regularly then sooner or later you will pick up some nasty software infections. These used to be divided into viruses, trojans, worms and spyware but as the behaviour of these 'nasties' has evolved they are now classified under the one term - Malware. Malware is any sort of unsolicited software that can attach itself to your computer and cause unwanted results or damage to your system.
More recently malware has evolved into scam spyware programs which infect your computer then start running scans to tell you that you have hundreds of infections. At first glance these programs seem genuine as they look very similar to some microsoft products. The idea is to get you to send the hackers money for the 'cure'to your problems.
If you send money then they just keep sending you more and more spyware - and of course you will never see your cash again! Once your computer is infected with this type of spyware it is very hard to get rid of - we have seen dozens of these spyware infections, so give us a call and we will soon have your computer back running as normal.
